Keeping Up with the Pace of Modern Policing
Across the country, law enforcement agencies are operating in an increasingly dynamic threat environment. From rapid response to violent incidents to the unpredictable nature of everyday patrol, officers are being asked to do more and move faster than ever before. In this reality, protective equipment must deliver both security and mobility.

P7 XTERNAL PATROL VEST: Bridging the Gap
|
|
Traditional two-panel patrol vests create coverage gaps at the sides, don't fit well with small weight fluctuations or bulkier clothing layers, and can't transition between uniform patrol and plainclothes assignments. Officers need separate armor systems for different duties, increasing department costs and creating equipment management headaches.
The XPV uses a four-panel design that wraps farther around the torso for better side coverage and a patented three-piece cummerbund for better adjustment, while offering both external tactical and internal concealable carriers. One ballistic system handles uniform patrol, Class A ceremonies, and undercover work.
|
Four-Panel Ballistic System – Provides wraparound side coverage that traditional two-panel vests can't match, reducing vulnerability gaps
Dual Carrier Configuration – Same ballistic panels work in external patrol carrier or optional internal concealable carrier for undercover operations
Three-Piece Cummerbund – Patent-pending design adjusts to individual torso shape and accommodates weight fluctuations without losing coverage
Multiple Exterior Styles – Webless or Traditional MOLLE/PALS load bearing surfaces, or "clean" no MOLLE version in Uniform or Tactical variations
|
Why it matters: One ballistic investment covers both uniformed patrol and plain clothes assignments while providing superior side protection.
Four soft armor panels, external and optional internal carriers, three MOLLE configurations, 280+ size combinations available.

Details Matter: Lifetime Warranty
Why P7's warranty terms reveal more about build quality than marketing claims ever could.
Most tactical gear warranties run 1-2 years because manufacturers know their offshore production can't handle sustained operational use. P7's lifetime warranty isn't marketing; it's engineering confidence. Our US manufacturing allows direct quality control over materials selection, stitch patterns, and stress point reinforcement that offshore contracts typically can't match. The lifetime coverage extends to all nylon products because P7 controls every step: thread selection, seam construction like double-stitched high-stress areas with bartacking, and hardware sourcing. This isn't about being patriotic; it's about predictable failure points. When you control the entire production chain, you can engineer out the weak links that cause most gear failures in the field. P7's warranty excludes ballistic armor because that's governed by NIJ standards and manufacturer certifications.
American Made. Guaranteed for Life.

How-To: Extend Your Armor's Service Life Through Proper Storage
Poor storage can degrade ballistic materials and compromise protection when you need it most. These practices help maintain your armor's integrity between deployments.
Environmental Controls
- Store in temperatures between 32-120°F to prevent material degradation
- Maintain humidity below 80% using desiccant packs or dehumidifiers
- Keep away from direct sunlight and fluorescent lights that can break down fibers
- Avoid storing near chemicals, fuels, or cleaning solvents that can weaken ballistic materials
Physical Storage Setup
- Hang soft armor flat or lay completely flat to prevent creasing
- Store hard plates vertically in padded racks to distribute weight evenly
- Use breathable garment bags rather than plastic to allow moisture circulation
- Keep carriers and panels separate to allow air circulation and prevent mold
Regular Maintenance Checks
- Inspect monthly for delamination, cuts, or bullet pulls in fabric
- Check ceramic plates quarterly for cracks using bright light inspection
- Rotate stock if managing multiple sets to ensure even aging
- Document inspection dates and any issues found for warranty tracking
Think of armor storage like ammunition storage: controlled environment, regular inspection, and proper handling can mean the difference between protection and failure.
